HANGING THE FAN

 

Step 4. Carefully lift the fan and seat the downrod ball into the hanger bracket. Rotate the fan until the slot on the downrod ball aligns with the pin on the hanger bracket.

CAUTION! Do not pinch wires between the ball/downrod assembly and the hanger bracket.

 

  
RE-ATTACH SAFETY STRAP

Step 5. Using the safety strap screws removed in Step 1, replace the safety strap on the hanger bracket.

TIP: Hold the wires above the safety bar (against the ceiling.)

 

 
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Step 6. Attach the fan wires to the ceiling fixture outlet box wiring by twisting the bare ends of the wires together and then securing with a wire nut. Connect in this order:

CAUTION: If a BLUE wire (labled "Option Only") from the fan is present, it should be wrapped with electrical tape so that the metal is not exposed.

• GREEN leads from hanger bracket and fan to GROUND conductor of power source.
Secure with wire nut.

• WHITE wire from fan to white NEUTRAL wire in ceiling fixture outlet box.
Secure with wire nut.

• BLACK wire from fan to black (or red) POWER wire in ceiling fixture outlet box.
Secure with wire nut.
