If you change the 'SET' channel number in the control you must then change the receive 'SET' channel number of the fan to match.

NOTE: You must change the control 'SET' channel first before changing the fan receive 'SET' channel.

Turn OFF the power to the fan for at least 10 seconds using the wall switch or breaker.

Turn the power back ON.

WAIT 20 SECONDS FOR MICROPROCESSOR
WARM-UP AND SELF CHECK

YOU NOW HAVE ONE MINUTE TO
COMPLETE THE NEXT STEP!

Using the W-21 control with the NEW channel setting:
Press and hold both the TEST and AUTO buttons until you see "CC" (Change Channel) displayed.

As "CC" appears on the display you will hear a rapid beep as the control sends out the new channel code to the fan.

Release the TEST and AUTO buttons.

The fan has now been programmed to receive the new 'SET' channel code. Confirm that the fan received the new 'SET'' code by operating the W-21 and seeing if the fan responds correctly.

Turn off power ONLY to the fan that is to be reprogrammed. This may require temporarily disconnecting other fans, on the same switch or breaker, in their canopies when changing the "SET' channel.

Please note: If you turned the power off at a main breaker which stopped fans in several rooms, the control will have "SET" the new receive channel to these fans.

Where two remote controls are used to control a single fan, they must be set so that BOTH remote controls operate on the SAME channel.ONE of the remote controls is made into the "BASE" controller.

All remote controls leave the factory as "BASE".

Initial remote control settings

Set BOTH the controls to operate the fan.

"BASE" Check

To confirm that the remote is the "BASE":

1. Press AUTO for 3 seconds until a beep is heard.

2. Confirm that display shows 'b'.

3. Press AUTO again to set.
