HANGING THE FAN

Step 9. Carefully lift the fan and seat the downrod ball into the hanger bracket Make sure the alignment pin is in the alignment slot, if necessary turning the fan until this happens.

CAUTION! Do not pinch wires between the ball/downrod assembly and hanger bracket.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Step 10. Attach the fan wires to the ceiling fixture outlet box wiring by twisting the bare ends of the wires together and then securing with a wire nut. Connect in this order:

• GREEN leads from hanger bracket and fan to GROUND conductor of power source.
Secure with wire nut.

• WHITE wire from fan to white NEUTRAL wire in outlet box.
Secure with wire nut.

• BLACK and BLUE wire from fan to black (or red) POWER wire in outlet box.
Secure with wire nut.

Step 11. Turn connections upward and carefully push leads into the outlet box, with the white and green leads on one side of the outlet box and the black and blue leads on the other side of the outlet box. Check to see that all connections are tight, including ground, and that no bare wire is visible at the wire nuts, except for the ground wire.

CANOPY INSTALLATION
Step 12. Loosen the two canopy mounting screws on the hanger bracket until an 1/8" of thread shows. Mount the canopy on the two screws in the hanger bracket and twist the canopy so the screw heads hold the canopy in place. Retighten the two screws.

Step 13. Lift and turn the canopy until the hanger bracket screw heads fit through the canopy keyhole slots. Now turn the canopy counter-clockwise until the screws reach the narrow end of the keyholes then tighten the screws to secure the canopy.
